gem2deb software package provides Debian Ruby packaging suite, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gem2deb
gem2deb is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gem2deb package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gem2deb *
You will get with gem2deb package name, version, architecture and description in a table
